I feel like this year is FLYING by. I wish it would slow down a little, because I feel like I don't have time to stop and enjoy the little moments. I'm always running from one thing to the next.

I requested to change my work schedule from working 5 days a week to 3, so that should help, as well as give me more time for homework, which should bring my grades up. the only classes I currently have an A in are Art, Physical Conditioning and English, haha :P

On the other hand, I feel much more productive than I did when I was homeschooled. I can honestly say I was lazy, but going to school and having a part time job at the same time has taken away allllll the laziness :)

Another thing I've been wanting to do lately is work on eating better and exercising more. I'm happy with my weight, but I want to be more toned and gain more muscle. Ever since my iPod was stolen, I haven't been running at all.

I don't think I've shared that story on blogger :P I was at the mall, and I left my iPod on the seat in the car. Stupidly, I left the windows open as well. I wasn't gone for more than an hour, but by the time I got back, my iPod was gone. :( That thing cost me $250 and it was 120 gb. I really miss it. :(

I read this on facebook and it really struck me for some reason.

Last Sunday, the Great Wolf Lodge had a family day. All the employees were allowed to bring their families to the waterpark for a day of fun :) I brought my whole family(except Chad because he doesn't like waterparks for whatever reason lol) and it was so fun :) We all had a great time and it was fun to introduce my family to the people i work with.

And then I do it all again the next day :/ unless it's my day off...like today :)

It's me again haha sorry for not posting recently but life has been so busy, even though it's summer time.

Pretty much all i've done this summer is work. I'm still really enjoying my job at the Great Wolf Lodge. I've made some great friends and it's so much fun being around these people all the time...we have so much fun together. :) Plus i've been getting lots of exercise and making good money...i'm starting to think about saving up for a car cause i've made quite a lot of money over the summer :P

Another big thing that happened recently...we got a call from Lake Norman Charter School. They have a place for me in the junior class so i'm gonna be going there this year. :) I was number 67 on the lottery so it was kind of a shock to hear...we were planning on me homeschooling and taking classes at RCCC but God had different plans. :)

So I'm really excited about whats gonna happen this year! It's gonna be hard waking up at 6 every day and getting all my homework done and working and possibly playing volleyball at the same time but we'll see what happens :)

The lifeguarding training for Great Wolf Lodge was SO FREAKING MUCH FUN. I love that I got to meet so many new people. I made so many friends and formed bonds with people. I got really attached to some of them during the week lol. I ate dunkin donuts every day and I lost weight at the same time. :) I babysat and went to volleyball every day and I'm not dead tired, I still have energy. I'm just really lovin life right now! I feel so blessed to have gotten this job! It came at the perfect time in my life and I keep on thanking God for it. :)

My Life: Tuesday and Wednesday

Tuesday:

I was tired today and mom let me sleep in until 9:00. :)
I did school until 2:30.
I walked my neighbor's dog.
I went to lifeguarding training at 3:30. We used these plastic breathing things to give rescue breaths to dummies. We watched more videos. We practiced more rescue techniques on each other. Fun stuff.
We got done with training early so I rushed over to basketball. Oh joy...
Basketball was hard and I sucked.
I went to bed early at 10:30, exhausted.

Wednesday:

Woke up at 8:00.
Read my Bible and ate breakfast.
I babysat for the neighbor at 9:00 till 11:00.
Came home, did school, ate lunch.
Messed around attempting to play on the piano for about 30 minutes. (i haven't played in years so it was a failure.)
Drove to lifeguarding training at 3:30. We had to use backboards and boueys to rescue victims with head, neck or back injuries. Veryyy hard to get the hang of. We also learned how to wrap burns, cuts, and other shoulder and arm injuries.
Got home at 8:45.

And that was my very busy past 2 days. :) It's been fun getting to know all the people in lifeguarding training. Our teacher is really funny and nice. She actually remembers my bro Chad from when he did the training and she was like "OH CHAD! I ADOOORED HIM!" lol.

so yesterday was the first day of lifeguarding class and i was a little nervous at the start. But our instructor was really low-key and nice. We started out with the 300 yards and we had to do 4 freestyle, 4 breaststroke and 4 of whatever else we wanted. Thankfully I had practiced that before so I did fine. We lost 2 people after that. Since they couldn't complete the 300 yards they had to leave. So then we had to tread water for 2 minutes and swim a lap with a 10 pound weight.

Then we went through a bunch of book stuff and watched this movie that explained rescue techniques. Then we had a test(i got a 95%!) and then we had to practice the rescue techniques with a floaty buoy thing. fun stuff.

After all that we were done! It was actually pretty fun. Everybody got along well with each other and nobody caused any trouble.

1 day down, 4 to go!

I went to the Nomad Aquatic Center today to prove to my mom and dad that I could swim 300 yards without stopping aaannnd I did it! I also swam 2 laps with a 10 pound weight which is also required for the lifeguarding class. So I think I'm gonna do fine.

I got these crazy awesome jeans at the mall the other day. They're all ripped up and destroyed looking. They're totally rockin! :) I wore 'em to church today and they were super comfy. I was working with the kids and they were all like "what happened to your jeans???" haha I was like "it's okay, they're supposed to be like that."

I know some people think it's wierd to buy jeans that are all ripped up but they are in style and they were 20% off (thanks to my Wet Seal Super Saver Card) so what the hey! :)

I love shopping and clothes. :D

Sooo i don't know if anyone else has heard about this new Prince of Persia movie, but it looks really good! Other than Pirates of the Caribbean, it's the ONLY Disney movie EVER to have a PG-13 rating. So it's kind of a big deal I guess. It's from the same director of POTC and those movies were really good so i'm assuming this one is gonna be good. Can't wait to see it. :)

babysitting and such

So this week, I have babysat for neighbors EVERY day, sometimes twice in one day. I'm babysitting again tomorrow. So right now I'm a little sick of babysitting.

I'm signing up to take this lifeguarding class at the Nomad place by our house. Eventually I want to get a job lifeguarding at one of the pools in our neighborhood or maybe at the gym.

I went on a run last night... I've been trying to run more often.

So it's been crazy trying to do sports, babysit and school all at the same time. The lady who does our composition and lit. class gives us SO much homework it's not even funny. And I have like no free time.

*sigh*

I can't wait for summer.

Volleyball is done but we should be starting open gyms for CCS in a month or two. At least I get a little break from it...

Landon and I went to this lady's house yesterday to get "tested" to see if we were at a level where we could take this AP english class. Apparantly we were smart enough to get in, lol. She just gave us a prompt and we had to write an essay from it, kinda like in the ACT or whatever. So it was nothing too hard.

So after that, I drove myself to the mall and went SHOPPPPPING! :D Tried on a couple dresses and shirts but didn't find anything that I liked. All the dresses were too short. It seems like all the dresses in the world are mid-thigh length now. It really sucks.

But anyway I got Chad a CD for his birthday and some candy. And I got this new dark cherry mocha from starbucks and it was really yummy. :) So the shopping trip was somewhat successful.

I miss all my friends from church...I feel like I never see you guys! :( Now that volleyball is over, I can actually go to church on Sundays and stuff and hopefully hang out with some of you.

Lately it seems like God has been reminding me not to take life for granted. I have this awesome life and sometimes i just forget how blessed I am. :)

So yep.

And I really want to adopt someday. I think it would be awesome. :)

I'm really looking forward to going to Carowinds this year for the concert. I'm super sad that the Holms can't make it, cause it's like tradition for us to go together, :( but Emily and Olivia Elliott are coming and my awesome friend Victoria from basketball is coming too. :)) So it's gonna rock.

And i'm looking forward to the Youth Banquet, which is the day before the concert. I have good memories of last year and the years before. It's so weird to think that I have lived in NC for 6 years!! And I've been coming to Youth group for like 4 years! I have changed so much in the past 6 years.

I'm doing a Yes I Can camp and it is soo fun. The coaches are so awesome and really encouraging. I've been practicing a lot at home after every practice and I'm surprising myself with how much I'm improving! And we've only had 1 practice! I still have a really long way to go but I'm loving this right now! My awesome friends Kaitlyn and Victoria are doing it with me and we have such a good time together. I'm SO looking forward to playing for the Stallions this year. :))

So Jessi and Hudson and I did this 2 day golf clinic with a group of teens from church. We did it last year and it was really fun so I was really looking forward to it this year.

We just learned the basics of golf, and i have taken lessons before, so it wasn't anything new for me. It was still nice to sharpen up my skills since I was pretty rusty from not playing.

The coaches were all super nice and they loved our homeschool Crossway group, lol. They thought we were hilarious. And we kind of were... we took tons of crazy pictures and stuff so I'm gonna post a few of them:

I went to Virginia to watch Jessi's basketball team play in a tournament. They placed 1st in thier division. :)
I'm learning spanish.
My grandad is visiting.
I saw The Last Song last week.
I'm doing a Yes I Can basketball camp.
I'M DEBT FREEEEE! (finally paid off my camera! It really didn't take that long...)
Flew to Florida with A.J.
Went to the beach in Florida.

So that's all the big stuff.
I had a good Easter. We just spent time as a family and had a huge dinner. Then we watched High School Musical. :)

My mom signed me up for this AP English class for next year. It's gonna be hard but it should be good since english is my fave subject. And it's supposed to prepare you for college and stuff...

Yesterday was really fun.

I worked in childrens ministry at church and we had to combine classes because some of the teachers never showed up. So I was in a class with about 20 kids, 1 teacher and 4 other helpers. It was crazy but fun. :)

After church I went out to lunch with Emily and Eric. We went to Jason's Deli and I had some soup and some ice cream. It was delish. We talked for a while and then we headed to this swing dance that was going on near downtown Charlotte. It was pretty cool to meet new people and get some exercise. Dancing is the best kind of exercise in my opinion, lol. I was a little rusty from taking a few months off of swing dancing but I warmed up to it pretty quick. :)

Thenn we had care group! It was very encouraging, especially after the accident. It was nice to get my focus back on God. I need to remember that everything happens for the good of those who love him.

So I got in my first car crash yesterday. It was pretty epic. I was taking my brother and his 2 friends to lacrosse practice. I was about to turn onto the highway and I was waiting for the traffic to pass so I could go through. This lady stops to let me through and I went and all of a sudden this car comes and slams into the side of my car. Thankfully nobody was hurt. I was really shaken up and scared but I'm ok now. I just keep thinking about what could have happened. :/ I'm so glad that God kept everybody safe. The car should be covered by the insurance but I still feel really bad about everything that happened. :(

So later last night Chad and Omar took me to see Alice in Wonderland in 3D which was AWESOME! That was my first 3D movie (other than spongebob sqarepants at carowinds) so I was pretty excited. It was nice to get away after all the traumatizing stuff that happened, lol.

So theres a couple happy things I would like to shareee...

My grandad and my step grandmother are in Florida right now and they want 2 or 3 of us to come spend a couple days with them. So we all talked about it and since I'm the only one with a flexible schedule, I get to go! I'm gonna take A.J. and were gonna fly down there by ourselves! I'm super excited about it. :) And a little nervous about getting on a plane alone, lol but I'm a grown woman, I should be fine. :P

I'm going through this Python computer programming book and it's very cool.

And like I said in the last post, I'm getting a new camera!

I had a really hard volleyball practice today. Some of the girls are really intense and I love them, but they need to chill a little. Or a lot. So I missed a couple balls that hit the floor and they start getting on me and theyre like that was your ball morgan, move your feet! So I get discouraged and I'm still trying to play well but at the same time I wanna scream and/or cry. The worst feeling in the world is when you feel like youre letting your team down.

I play volleyball for fun, because theres no way in the world I could make it in college. So when these girls get all intense it just gets on my nerves, I'm not gonna lie. I don't want to hold them back from working thier hardest, so I feel like I have to step up, and when I screw up, I feel like they get mad.

I'm such a calm, easygoing person and sometimes I just feel like this whole volleyball thing isn't even worth it.

Soo yeah. I just have to put all that behind me, shake it off, let it go. Tomorrows a new day.

But anyway, I'm getting this new camera, the Nikon D3000. I think it's gonna be a good starter camera for me cause I want to learn more about photagraphy. Plus I would like to take better pics when I'm watching my siblings play sports. My little point and shoot isn't cutting it anymore.

I don't even know what to say... i'm so bored right now.
Umm...
I got sick last Saturday and for a while I couldn't eat anything without feeling sick but my appetite is back now which is nice.
I have a regular babysitting job now which is amazing because i love making money. It's 2 days a week and the little guy is so cute.
Right now Mom, Dad, Chad, Jessi and Hudson are all gone so I'm home babysitting my 4 younger siblings. I've pretty much given up trying to keep the house clean and i'm taking a break from playing with them now. They are eating lunch.
So i guess i'll sign off now..

My life has been SO busy the past couple of days. We've had school, sports, parties to go to, people coming over for lunch, school, chores and did I mention school?

Sometimes i wish I had never started playing volleyball. It takes up so much time and I'm always tired after practices. But then I think about how I've made so many friends and it's such good exercise and I love the sport so much. :)

Iiii'm going to a concertttt. :) This sunday I'm going to Winter Jam '10! I'm super excited cause I haven't been to a concert since the summer time. Tenth Avenue North is gonna be there and I've always wanted to see them. And Fireflight is one of my fave bands and they always put on a good show. I know it's gonna be a great night of worship and rockin music. :)

So last night we watched the Texas Longhorns take on Alabama Crimson Tide. I'm not used to watching collage football. It's a lot different than professional, lol. But anyway, texas lost but they didn't get crushed. they put up a good fight even though the QB got injured in the 1st quarter and they had to put in a freshman who hadn't gotten much playing time before...

It's so bad, lately I've become so addicted to sugar. Like those tootsie rool pops, I love them so much. I think my new years resolution will be to start eating less sugar and more fruits and veggies. :)

Then we ate cinnamon rolls, and orange rolls for breakfast.

Oh my gosh. This month has been AWESOME!!!

Firstly, I got a haircut. :)

Secondly, I have been loving swing dance lessons.

Thirdly, my amazing friends threw me a surprise party for my sweet 16th birthday! It rocked... it was so fun & special! Thanks guys! :)

1. Coffee and oatmeal
Now that the weather is colder, it's nice to have warmer food and drink in the mornings. :) I have oatmeal every day for breakfast and coffee afterwards while I'm doing school.

2. Running
This one is weird. I first started running to get in shape for volleyball. I didn't want to at the time, but I kind of forced myself to do it cause I knew it was good for me. Now it's hard for me to go a day without running, lol! It's strangely addicting!

3. Swing dancing
Emily got me into this one, lol! I've loved swing dancing for a long time but we started taking lessons last Tuesday and I'm officially addicted to it now! It's SOOOOOO much fun!

Well it's a Saturday, and it's raining and I have nothing to do. I watched The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe earlier while drinking coffee. That was heavenly. Then I went for a walk in the rain with my iPod. That was magical. Now I am typing this post out.

So we have this library scavenger hunt thingy for this class were doing at Hickory Grove. We have to go around the library looking for different books and info to answer the questions. Jess and me got half of it done and then the library computers crashed so we couldn't find any of the books. So for the rest of the time we looked at magazines like InStyle and Bride and Teen Vouge. Very fun. :)

After volleyball practice yesterday I had this strange burst of energy. So I went on a run. Normally after practice I'm wiped, but yesterday I was really pumped. Wierd. Anyway, so I was running and I saw this snake in front of me but I was to late to move so I had to jump over it. I seriously screamed out loud. After my run Dad and Jessi and me watched this Kung Fu movie. It was really artsy, with a lot of slow motion fight scenes and stuff. It was pretty cool.

Aaaand now we are going to this open gym thingy for volleyball. It should be fun. So those were pretty much the highlights of my last 2 days. I shall post again later. :)

Omg, I haven't posted in like a month. I'm sorry! :( You have NO idea how busy the past month has been... We started school and volleyball started so we have practices almost every day... and when we don't have practices we have games. So far we are 3-0 *dances* :)) JV pretty much beasts this year. :)

So last week we went to the park with the Holms and played basketball and volleyball and ate pizza. It was soo fun spending time with them - we laughed a ton and were being really stupid. Classic Holm/Harris day.

Friday Darcy came over to watch our volleyball game and she ended up spending the night which was so fun. :) We went to the Parks coffee house thingy so that was cool. Then Jess and Darcy stayed up till 2 am watching videos on Youtube and playing FancyPants on the computer... so I was pretty sleep deprived the next day...

which was the CM meeting at church and my group finished early so Jessi and me walked to Dilworths coffee and hung out with Marrissa and played card games and talked. So fun! :D

Yesterday I went to watch the Varsity v-ball team play (they beasted of course - destroyed the other team :D ) then I went shopping with my crazy (litterally ) friend Kristi... we had lots of fun and were really tired afterwards. BUT I GOT THIS FREAKING AMAZING CD BY NEEDTOBREATHE.
IT ROCKS. I love this band. But when I got home I realized I was tired like nobody's bussiness so I went to bed. So that pretty much sums up my last month... or week rather. I shall try to post more often but no promises... haha :)

We took a vacation to Florida last week and got to bring Landon and Kaitlyn Holm and our good friend Carol from Texas along. We had so much fun - we got to snorkel and swim at the beach and hang out at the pool and do some shopping!

Last night I went to the Herlihys house to watch the 3rd Harry Potter! It was a lot of fun but there were a couple people who were whispering and making noise... haha but I pretty much understood the whole thing. Hudson and I bought our tickets for the midnight showing today!!! There's a ton of people from church going too - at like 9:30 so we can meet and get coffee and beat the lines. :) it's gonna be good.

I think it's interesting how some people won't allow their kids to watch or read Harry Potter. I know there is witchcraft and magic but that doesn't draw me in or anything... seeing the movies makes me really glad that magic isn't real - cause of all the evil people in the world. If they were able to use magic this world would be even more messed up than it already is... lol anyway i gotta go so thats all... guess I'll do another post soon. :)

We have watched the first 2 movies as a family and The 6th movie comes out on July 15th i think so I'm really looking forward to that. I might go to the Herlihy's and watch the 3rd one on Monday. yay! :) I never really was interested in watching them or reading the books before cause of all the witchcraft & magic and stuff but I decided to give the movies a try and I like them a lot! :)

Yesterday was our last open gym for volleyball... no more v-ball until August! :( It's kinda wierd cause Jessi is probably gonna be on Varsity and I'm gonna be on JV. Not because I'm not as good as Jess or anything but my coach says I need to grow in leadership and confidence. I seriously am kinda glad I'm not going to be on Varsity though. :)

So thats it... I'll probably post tomorrow cause tomorrow is The 4th Of July. :D

The Holms and us went to Carowinds Saturday! We went to the waterpark and rode some rides and at 2:00 the concert started. :D

Remedy Drive was my fave! Nobody was standing up while they were performing and we were like "we should stand!" So we did and the David - the singer - looked at us and said "thank you" to us! It was very cool. :) We met them afterwards and there was like 5 other people in line with us to meet them so they talked with us for a while and we got to take a picture!
